GCAF: A United Voice for Gozo’s Agriculture and Fisheries
The Gozo Confederation for Agriculture and Fisheries (GCAF) brings together stakeholders from across Gozo’s agriculture, livestock, dairy and fisheries sectors, providing a common platform for representation, dialogue and cooperation.
Gozo’s primary sectors face particular realities arising from the island’s size, insularity, operating costs, availability of resources, infrastructure and changing regulatory environment. Ensuring that these realities are properly understood and represented is central to GCAF’s work.
Representing Gozo’s Primary Sectors
GCAF provides a platform through which sector organisations, farmers, livestock and dairy producers, fishers and other stakeholders can raise matters of common concern and contribute to discussions affecting their sectors.
Our areas of focus include agricultural land, water and resources, livestock and dairy production, fisheries, competitiveness, infrastructure, investment and the long-term future of Gozo’s primary sectors.
GCAF also engages with public authorities and other stakeholders, contributes to consultations and policy discussions, and works to ensure that the particular circumstances of Gozo are reflected in decisions affecting agriculture and fisheries.
Have Your Say
GCAF encourages those working within Gozo’s primary sectors to remain engaged and bring forward issues that require greater attention or representation.
Whether the matter concerns regulation, infrastructure, operating conditions or a wider sector challenge, stakeholders can use GCAF’s Raise an Issue facility to bring it to the Confederation’s attention.
By working together, Gozo’s primary sectors can have a stronger and more coordinated voice.
